DC Una & Solan ensure supply of fuel in petrol pump: Himachal Government

Himachal Pradesh Government stated on Tuesday that government agencies are dealing with the issue of scarcity of Petrol and Diesel in the wake 3 dry stock in the state and increasing long queues of vehicles outside the petrol pump of the state.

Director Civil Supply R K Gautam said the Deputy Commissioner i.e. Solan & Una are continuously monitoring the status and are involved in discussions with the transporters.

 Due to the involvement of Sh. Man Mohan Sharma, DC, Solan, and SP Solan, Baddi, on 01-01-2024 during night hours 43 tankers were dispatched from Nalagarh HPCL terminal to Bilaspur,  Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmour, Solan & Una districts.

Today  750 KL or 65 vehicles have been dispatched till 4.00 PM. Similarly at Una terminal with the initiative of Sh. Raghav Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, and his police team of 116 dealer vehicles have been dispatched today under proper police escort. 

Tomorrow more dealers’ vehicles would be dispatched all over the State. As of today 2000 liter dead stock is being maintained at each petrol pump which has been ordered to be lowered to 1000 liter which will increase the availability. 

He said that on December 30 2023 in the morning Indian Oil Corporation had dispatched terminal Pekhuwala, Una.

 There are two more terminals at Nalagarh one of HPCL &BPCL  respectively. There are two types of tankers involved in the transport of Petroleum products,  one is the transport unions and the others are dealers tankers.
