Dalit activist slams discrimination of contractual Police Jawans

StateJoint SC, ST & OBC Mahashakti Morcha state convener Karm Chand Bhatiacondemned the state government for discrimination of contractual police Jawan in JCC meeting held by CM Jairam Thakur on Saturday.
In a Press release issued here today Mr Bhatiya who was booked by state police under sedition Charges for raising this demand said that government did not take any decision to fulfill the demands of welfare of all police jawans forcing them to cordon CM residence on Sunday.
“Not fulfilling the demands of the policemen in the JCC meeting is very unfortunate and step-motherly treatment.” he said

Mr. Bhatia demanded that eight-year contract period for the police jawan to get “regular pay” should be abolished completely.
“In the JCC meeting contract has been reduced to two years now, so why such step-motherly treatment with the policemen” he questioned.
He said that injustice should not be happen to police personnel who are serving  on roads 24×7 hours  in all weather conditions.State Sub Inspector recruitment age limit in police should be relaxed by five and seven years as similar relaxation is available in state of  Punjab, Gujarat, Haryana and  Rajasthan.
He said that police personnel  completing 3 years of contractual service as police sub-inspector should be given age relaxation for direct recruitment of sub Inspector, which is not yet applicable. 
 The file of Police Inspector’s NGO Grade-I is also lying in the state’s police headquarters, who were being given Class -2 status.  
The government should also take immediate steps to fix the duty period if 8 hours for the police personnel of the state so that their morale is not affected adversely.
The additional salary of 13 months to the police personnel of the state is also being given on the basis of the basic pay scale of 2012, while now the year 2022 is about to start, but still according to the new scale, 13 months to the police personnel not getting extra salary for the month. 
 Police personnel do not want additional salary of 13 months, in lieu of this, they are also demanding all kinds of government accommodation in the state, they should be given this leave.  
According to the new scale by the state government and by the state police administration till date, the home guard jawans of the state are not getting their salary, whose file is also lying with the government.  
The state government had announced to give a promotion to the police personnel 4 months before retirement, the decision was taken, that too has not been implemented yet. 

 There are also many police personnel posted in the Jail,  the government has not been able to take any decision about them too and and their files are hitting dust for the consideration with the government since last four years.
He said that there is a huge resentment among the policemen, home guard jawan & jail police personneltowards the government and  police administration, among the 
The demand of weekly leave of the police personnel has not been fulfilled till date, which the employees have been doing for a long time, he said.
