CPI(M) meeting of Local Committee Kasumpti was held under the chairmanship of Jaishiv Thakur
CPI(M) The meeting of Local Committee Kasumpti was held under the chairmanship of Jaishiv Thakur in which District In-charge Jagmohan Thakur and State Secretariat member Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar were also present.
In the meeting, district in-charge Jagmohan Thakur, while speaking on the political situation of the country, abroad, and the state, expressed concern over the wars going on at the world level and described the attacks being carried out targeting the common people as a big threat to humanity. Due to this other countries are also facing many problems. The economy has also reached its lowest point.
Jagmohan Thakur said that in India too, ever since the government was formed under the leadership of BJP, these policies are being implemented very fast. Due to this unemployment, inflation, and privatization of public services are increasing very rapidly. And public institutions are being sold on a large scale. Ram Mandir and Hindu-Muslim politics dominate the government’s agenda instead of public issues. There is no discussion on livelihood issues.
State Secretariat member Dr. Tanwar said that the apple economy is in danger in the state. Due to the reduction in import duty on apples, apples are reaching India from different countries of the world due to which the desired prices of apples are not available in the state. Similarly, the Prime Minister removed the nationwide farmers’ movement from Delhi by withdrawing three agricultural laws but did not fulfill even one of the promises made to the farmers. The government did not take a single step forward on Minimum Support Price.
After the Secretary discussed with the committee members on party rectification and renewal of members and recruiting new members in the party, State Secretariat member Dr. Tanwar said that keeping in mind the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the tours of ministers and MLAs are about to start. In Himachal, the Congress government has been in power for over a year. As an informed voter, we should observe how many of the promises made during the elections have been fulfilled whether anything is happening at the ground level or not.
Dr. Tanwar said that ministerial visits are also being started in the Kasumpti assembly constituency, in which the expenses are being increased by the leaders by collecting money from the families in the Panchayat, but in return, the development works are lying idle. The promises that were made before the elections were that the roads would be paved, the missing villages would be connected by roads and these illegal roads would be given a legal form, filling vacant posts in health institutions, filling the shortage of teachers in schools, There was talk during the elections about starting science and commerce classes but nothing has happened till now. The government had decided that 5 super specialty doctors would be appointed in every assembly constituency. But the situation remains the same.
In the Kasumpti area, the main opposition party BJP is also divided due to mutual hatred and is not taking any initiative among the people. In elections, these parties collect votes through various means but leave the people to their fate for five years.
It was decided in the meeting that in the coming times, CPI(M) Kasumpti will develop a movement on local issues by mobilizing the people in the area.
