CPG Ambesh Upmanyu presents Book of Postage stamps on Shree Ram to Governor Shukla
Chief Postmaster General, Himachal Pradesh, Ambesh Upmanyu along with other officers of the Postal Department called on Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan, today. He presented the book of stamps on Shree Ram from different countries of World along with soil of Ayodhya, water of Saryu River to the Governor.
Shri Upmanyu apprised the Governor that a Set of six commemorative postage stamps was released by Prime Minister Narender Modi on 18th January, 2024 on Ram Mandir Ayodhya. These stamps have been ingrained with the water and soil from Shree Ram Janm bhoomi and the stamps have the fragrance of sandalwood signifying the fragrance of divinity. To make these stamps radiant of the divine light, parts of the Miniature sheet are gold foiled, he informed.
He said that 3800 souvenirs of Ram Janm bhoomi have been received by Himachal Pradesh Postal Circle on 19th February, 2024 that would be delivered to all Gram Panchayat Pradhans of all 3616 Gram Panchayats in coming weeks, along with the message from Prime Minister.
Secretary to Governor, Rajesh Sharma, Vikas Negi of the Postal Department were also present on the occasion.
