Covid pandemic : CoMs impose night curfew
Himachal Pradesh Council of Ministers decided to impose the night curfew in wake of containing the outbreak of Omicron variant and spike in Covid cases in the state , the spokesperson of state Government told us after cabinet meeting held here today.
The Himachal Pradesh Council of Minister Meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at Summit hall at state Secretariat this afternoon decided to impose night curfew in the hill state in wake of sudden spike of Covid cases as it was recorded 260 on Tuesday highest in this year and winter season.
The Council of Ministers decided to impose night curfew with effect from 2200 hrs to 0500 hrs ( ten pm to five am)the notifications to this effect likely to issued by today. The council of Ministers also decided cut down the gathering capacity indoor up to 50 per cent ot the seating capacity till the restrictions would remained imposed .
The cabinet briefing likely to be held shortly also expected to close the summer vacation schools for one week or fortnight to contain the out break. The cabinet also discussed about the restrictions on the entry of tourists and people coming to outside states for compulsory simulations for covid vaccine or RTPCR tests condition etc.
The heavy footfall of tourists are expected in the state in coming few days especially on next week end as the tourists resort of state are snowing and alluring tourists to see the natural phenomenon by visiting here . There seemed to be no panic among the local people and tourists about the closing down of roads as system was kept on war-footing to restore the snowbound road and evacuate the people in emergency.
