Council of Ministers gives nod to make attic habitable
Himachal Pradesh Council of Ministers today gave nod to make the attic floor habitable after amending town and country planning rule.
The State Cabinet in its meeting held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the council of ministers gave nod to amend Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Rules, 2014 to make the attic floor habitable in order to facilitate the general public.
It also decided to fill up 530 posts of Lecturer (School New) of different subjects through direct recruitment.
The Cabinet approved the proposal to make suitable amendments under Rule-4 and Rule 15-A of the R& P Rules so as to provide for recruitment on fixed emoluments.
The length of contractual service and emoluments shall be notified by the Government from time to time.
The Cabinet gave its approval to fill up two posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police on regular basis through direct recruitment on the basis of the HPAS Combined Competitive Examination.
It decided to amend Rule 50 of the Himachal Pradesh Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rules, 1989. As a step towards increasing revenue, the annual license fee under this Rule will be Rs. 1,50,000.
The state drug authorities issue licenses to companies that use NDPS substances. Currently, 36 companies are covered under Rule 50 of NDPS Rule 1989.
State Drugs authorities allowed the selling, stocking manufacturing, and processing of NDPS substances and drugs in prescribed doses, and the license is issued to sellers, stockists, and manufacturing companies at different rates.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the state government also constituted a panel of legislators led by revenue minister Jagat Singh Negi to explore the further scope of the generation of revenue by allowing licensed farming of cannabis in the state.
