Construction Halted in Shoghi Panchayat After Skeleton Discovery

Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap has ordered a halt to construction work in Shoghi Panchayat following the discovery of a skeleton during land excavation. The state museum team will conduct an archaeological investigation of the skeleton.

Kashyap stated that the building construction was underway when the skeleton was found. The State Museum team will investigate the find. A letter from the Archaeological Investigation of the State Museum has instructed that no work should continue on the site until the investigation is complete. Consequently, construction work at the location has been stopped.

The state museum team is scheduled to visit the site on September 28, 2024, to conduct the archaeological investigation. The construction will remain on hold until the investigation determines the archaeological significance of the skeleton.
