Congress will wave the flag of victory in all four Lok Sabha seats: Rajneesh Kimta
State Congress Organization General Secretary Rajneesh Kimta has claimed that Congress will wave the flag of victory in all four Lok Sabha seats of the state as well as in the six assembly by-elections. He said that after the election results on June 4, the Congress government of the state will become even stronger. He has said that the Congress government has a full majority and the government is not facing any kind of political threat.
Addressing a press conference at the state Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan today, Kimta said that today a situation of rebellion has arisen within the BJP along with infighting. He said that the by-elections in the state are not of Congress against BJP, rather this election is being held with the rebel Congress MLAs, in which they will have to face a crushing defeat. He said that the BJP has tried to destabilize the Congress government in the state under a political conspiracy and it will have to pay the price for it. He said that the BJP has insulted the public opinion of the state by tearing apart the dignity of democracy in the state and has imposed six by-elections on the people of the state.
Kimta said that Congress has completed all its election preparations. All the party leaders, office bearers, and workers are fully engaged in the election field. He said that along with brainstorming on the party candidates, Congress has also reached a consensus on the names and soon the party candidates will be announced.
Rajneesh Kimta wanted to know from BJP about fielding BJP candidate Kangana from the Mandi parliamentary constituency, whether Kangana’s name was sent by the state BJP executive. He said that Kangana never considered Himachal as her home. He cited a tweet of hers from Gwalior in 2021 in which she was asked to contest elections from Himachal, she had made it clear that she does not want to contest any election from a small state like Himachal, it is clear that there is a disorder in her mentality towards Himachal Pradesh. He said that her calling Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh from outside Mandi shows her lack of complete knowledge of this parliamentary constituency. He said that Rampur is an important part of the Mandi parliamentary constituency and from here, along with former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh, current State Congress President Pratibha Singh is representing the Mandi parliamentary constituency as MP for the third time. He said that during the disaster, Kangana never took care of Mandi or the state. He said that Congress will have a spectacular victory from the Mandi parliamentary constituency.
Kimta also took on BJP MP Suresh Kashyap of Shimla parliamentary constituency and said that he never cared for the people during his five-year tenure. He said that he discriminated against the upper region of Shimla in terms of development. Not even a single rupee was given to more than 300 panchayats from the MP fund. He said that during the time of disaster, people kept looking for their MP but he was nowhere to be found. He said that today he is bowing down before the people for the sake of votes. He said that Suresh Kashyap could not protect the interests of the people of the Shimla parliamentary constituency. He said that he could neither protect the interests of the gardeners nor the farmers. He said that Kashyap has proved to be a completely unsuccessful MP. He said that Congress is fielding strong candidates on all four Lok Sabha seats and will win all of them.
In response to a question, Kimta said that the rebels’ homecoming will be based on their merits and demerits. In response to another question, he said that a consensus has been reached on the selection of candidates for all the seats of the Congress party. These names will be announced as soon as they are finalized in the CEC meeting. He said that there is strong coordination between the organization and the government in the state. He said that Congress has fulfilled its 15-month tenure’s achievements, which include the restoration of old pensions to employees and a guarantee of Rs 1500 to women. He said that the Congress government will fulfill all its election guarantees under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.
