Congress ministers should stick to their statements, they change their statements when pressure mounts: Jairam Thakur
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur inaugurated an exhibition organised on Shimla’s Mall Road under Seva Pakhwada on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday. While a glimpse of the historic works of the Modi government can be seen in this exhibition, it also reflects the inspiring things related to Modi ji’s life. Narendra Modi worked as the Chief Minister of Gujarat four times and took Gujarat to new heights of development. After this, while working as the Prime Minister of India, he wrote the story of India’s historic development. He brought India to the first row of the leading countries of the world. He brought all-round development of every section of India. Jairam Thakur congratulated all the party colleagues for this exhibition and urged everyone to visit the exhibition once. This exhibition will be organised in all the Lok Sabha constituencies of Himachal. On this occasion, Himachal BJP State Organization General Secretary Siddharthan, State Vice President and Program Incharge Rashim Dhar Sood, State Treasurer Kamal Sood, Media Incharge Karan Nanda, Prem Thakur, Sunil Dhar, Sanjay Sood, Rajiv Pandit, Sangeet Sood, Tarun Rana, Bilal Ahmed, Ganesh Dutt, Shravan Sharma, Bittu Pana, Kimi Sood and others were present with him.
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has said that the double character of Congress is coming to the fore in the mosque dispute. On one hand, ministers are giving statements after statements and on the other hand, their legs are faltering as soon as pressure mounts from Delhi. Some outsider Muslim leader comes here and spoils the atmosphere and the Chief Minister, at whose behest the law and order is maintained, is silent. While talking to journalists in Shimla, Jairam Thakur said that the AIMIM leader has tried to disturb the peace prevailing in Shimla by forcibly entering the illegal mosque which has been sealed by the police-administration and making a video of it. The AIMIM leader has made a video in which he is talking about demolishing the building in front of the mosque on the basis of its height, while he does not know that the building has been built legally, while the mosque has been constructed illegally. By making such a video, he has tried to hurt the sentiments of the people of the Hindu community. It has been learnt that an FIR has been registered against the said leader but not only an FIR should be registered for such an act but the state government should take strict cognizance of this and take strict action because he has tried to spoil the peaceful atmosphere. He has not been arrested yet whereas the police has taken action against the peaceful protesting Hindu leaders at the behest of the government with a feeling of revenge. The government should respect the public sentiment on this issue and find a permanent solution.
Jairam Thakur also took a dig at the statement of Cabinet Minister Vikramaditya Singh in which he has asked every street vendor to display his identity. Jairam Thakur said that when his government had decided to implement this provision, the Congressmen had made fun of it. Today, the same Congress leaders are adopting the same policy. The minister first says that he will implement it on the lines of the Uttar Pradesh Yogi government and by morning the statement changes under pressure from Congress leaders from Delhi.
He said that the decision is absolutely correct but the big question is how long will Vikramaditya Singh stick to his statement because a few days ago Anirudh Singh had also given a similar statement which affected his ministerial position, after which he got nervous and had to retract his statement.
