Congress leaders paid their tributes to Rajiv Gandhi at State Congress Headquarters

On the birth anniversary of the father of information technology, former Prime Minister of the country, Bharat Ratna late Rajiv Gandhi, party leaders paid their tributes to him at the State Congress Headquarters Rajiv Bhawan today.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, State Congress President Pratibha Singh, Health Minister Dr. Colonel Dhaniram Shandil, Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mohan Brakta, Sanjay Awasthi, MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore, Himuda Vice President Yashwant Chhajta, Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal, Municipal Corporation councilors, many senior party officials and workers were present.
Remembering Rajiv Gandhi, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that Rajiv Gandhi was our source of inspiration yesterday and will always remain so in the future. He said that it is because of his farsighted thinking that today the country has become number one in the field of information technology.
Pratibha Singh, while remembering Rajiv Gandhi, said that as a Prime Minister, he will always be remembered as the father of information technology in the country. She said that important decisions like giving voting rights to 18-year-old youth, 50 percent reservation to women in Panchayati Raj were taken. She said that Rajiv Gandhi was and will always be a source of inspiration for the youth.
Before this, all the party leaders offered flowers on the photograph of Rajiv Gandhi.
