Congress increased Himachal’s debt burden: Anurag Thakur
Former Union Minister and MP from Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, attended a meeting of the Himachal Pradesh BJP executive committee in Una. He discussed organizational issues with the dignitaries present. During the meeting, the political proposal of the Bharatiya Janata Party was approved by the party dignitaries and workers.
Shri Anurag Thakur said, “The Congress’s 18-month tenure in Himachal Pradesh has been filled with chaos, arrogance, and injustice. Instead of serving the public, this government has become one for friends, prioritizing their interests over public welfare. In just 1.5 years, Congress has taken a loan of 25,000 crores, increasing the state’s debt burden to 95,000 crores. Congress has not contributed anything to the state but has shut down ongoing health institutions, education centers, uniforms for children in government schools, and facilities for laborers. They have done nothing except benefit their friends in the last 18 months.”
He continued, “It’s been 16 months since Congress formed the government in Himachal, but they have not fulfilled a single promise. The women of Himachal are still waiting for their monthly ₹1500. The farmers are waiting for ₹2 per kg for cow dung and ₹100 per liter for milk. The youth are waiting for 5 lakh jobs. The families of Himachal are waiting for 300 units of free electricity. Congress leaders remain silent on these issues and instead keep spreading new deceptions.”
