Congress government has put Sarwan Kumar Agricultural University Palampur at stake: Bindal
Bharatiya Janata Party State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the present Congress government of the state is moving ahead in the direction of ending the big institutions of Himachal Pradesh. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s government closed the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, an institution that provided jobs, as soon as it came to power. After that, 1100 institutions were closed across the state and after that 800 schools were closed across the state. After this, now Sarwan Kumar Agricultural University Palampur has been put at stake.
Dr. Bindal said that the Congress and the Congress government of the state are taking a decision to destroy the country’s renowned agricultural institute which produces agricultural experts for the country every year. He said that preparations are being made to do real estate business by handing over 115 acres of land of the Agricultural University to private companies. This is not in the interest of Himachal Pradesh in any case, this is the clear opinion of the BJP and the Bharatiya Janata Party will strongly oppose any such decision from the road to the Legislative Assembly.
Dr. Bindal said that similarly the Sukhwinder government of the state is going to take a decision to hand over the Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya buildings which have been constructed on government land at government expense to private hands which is playing with the interests of Himachal and is condemnable.
