Cong seeks public suggestions for MC Election manifesto

State Congress President MP Pratibha Singh has asked the general public to give suggestions for preparation of Election Manifesto for Shimla Municipal Corporation. The MC poll id scheduled to held next month party started preparing party Election Menifesto to   improve and expansion of facilities in the city. She said that Menifesto Committee had been constituted to preparing party policy document which includes  improvement og roads, construction new  parking lots, expansion of drinking water and sanitation services to be given priority.Presiding over the Manifesto Committee meeting at State Congress Headquarters Rajiv Bhawan today, Pratibha Singh said that people are suffering due to lack of facilities in Shimla town. She said that the main objective of Congress is to make people free from this trouble. Ms Singh said that currently  BJP-ruled Municipal Corporation has completely failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people and party is bussy to glorified saffron brigade. She said that due to lack of proper coordination between the Mayor of Shimla Municipal Corporation and the government, people have to bear the brunt of it.  Due to indecisive leadership the maps of the houses were not passed and in view of getting millage in the elections ahead, the BJP government is making all efforts to woo the people by befooling them in half cooked policy of Shimla Development Plan. Pratibha Singh said that the manifesto of the party should be made only according to the aspirations of the people, which party could fulfill. She said that task to make the Election Manifesto  should be completed soon as the MC Election would be announced soon.
