Cong MP & Party Chief Pratibha Singh demands Tribal Bhawan near AIIMS Bilaspur
Congress President and Member of Parliament Pratibha Singh has demanded the state government to allot land near the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bilaspur, AIIMS, for the construction of Tribal Bhawan.
In a statement issued here today, she said that this facility should be required for people of the tribal area so that they could halt in the building, while they are coming to AIIMS for health benefits, especially from remote areas, and could have a suitable place to stay near AIIMS.
Pratibha Singh has said that there is a great need to provide housing facilities at the government level near the AIIMS built-in Bilaspur for the convenience of the patients or their caregivers.
MP said that people have demanded accommodation facilities for the people coming here for their checkups in Bilaspur AIIMS, so in the public interest, the state government should get Sarayan Bhavan constructed here.
Ms. Singh said that the Congress government of the state has taken a historic decision to provide Nautod to the landless people of the tribal areas.
She asked the state government to complete this target soon so that land could be made available to the landless people of the area. She has also asked the government to cancel the compulsion of electricity bills from these people.
Pratibha Singh has said that due to the construction of the Rohtang Tunnel, the movement of tourists has increased in the North Portal of Lahaul-Spiti.
The area is moving ahead in terms of tourism, so a special package should be given for tourism development in this area.
The toilets and dustbins should be made on the side of the roads where there is more movement of tourists from Sissu to Keylong and Jispa which is the main gate of Spiti, so that there is no harm to the environment there
