Cong-BJP responsible for backwardness of Kasumpti, indulge in divisive politics: Dr Kuldeep Tanwar
CPI(M) candidate and Himachal Pradesh Kissan Sabha president Dr Kuldeep Singh blamed Congress and BJP to divided People of Kasumpti into two princely states to cover up them on account of no-development, despite being nearest to state capital. Dr Tanwar was addressing a press conference here today blamed both Congress and BJP are equally responsible for the backwardness of Kasumpti assembly constituency. Congress is leading this area for last 20 years and BJP has also formed government in the state twice but neither the rural area of Kasumpti developed nor both the parties did anything for its urban area. The CPI(M) candidate said that the condition of education, health, road and transport in 36 panchayats of Assembly segment is worst than many inaccessible panchayats in the state. As the Roads are said to be the lifeline of any area but most of roads became worst in every rain and winter season. He said that it was people themselves who maintains rain affected roads every year by investing their own money. “There has been forest violation in about 300 roads in the area, in which no government vehicle could run and neither is the PWD department able to maintain them. ” Dr Tanwar said. Comparing nearest Theog assembly constituency Kissan Sabha leader said that during this tenure of CPI(M) MLA Rakesh Singha as many as 173 roads were given environment clearance of which 20 percent are in the rural roads. “Due to lack of roads, public are not getting bus facilities in Kasumpti assembly constituency. There are no buses available for children to school and college, Dr Tanwar said. Terming BJP and Congress leader available during election compaign confined to political rallies he said that candidates of both parties are putting buses to the people for their rallies, but no one are getting buses in this area as roads are not fit to ply buses . Dr Tanwar said that the area of Kasumpti would probably be the area where maximum number of bus routes have been closed after Covid. The condition of education is such that there are no teachers in the schools. Many school buildings are in dilapidated condition. There is no staff in the school for more than 15 years. There are shortage of language and physical education teachers. No School could offer education to students in science and commerce subjects. To study these subjects, students have to go to the neighboring district of Solan or 20-25 kms moreover no buses are available for them. Tanwar said that health services are in a dilapidated condition. He found recently, that no tests and staff was available in the the Civil Hospital Junga and Community Health Center Koti. Tanwar showed concern that currently Kasumpti was facing severe outbreak of Lumpy Skin disease among animals, many milching animals have died due to poor Veterinary Services. The death of milching animals not affected livelihood but livestock tunes to thousands or lakhs of rupees being lost by farmers. He alleged that instead of helping the cattle rearers, the Congress BJP leaders replied bluntly that their work is not to go to people,’s cowshed. Four-lane affected people of six panchayats of Kasumpti are demanding four times compensation under factor 2 of the government, but the government is not paying any heed to their demand, he added.
