CM Sukhu unveils mural depicting Himachali dance at Mall Road Shimla
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu unveiled a vibrant mural near the police control room at Mall Road in Shimla town which depicts the Himachali dance ‘Pahari Niti’.
The mural is based on wooden crafts and developed by Prof. Him Chatterjee and crafted by artisans from West Bengal, intricately capturing the folk culture of various districts of the state.
Mr. Sukhu said that Shimla MC and the state government would add a new chapter for recreational activities in the town as Tourism and hydropower are the twin growth engines of this hill state.
He also dedicated a big-sized LED screen for the public which was set up by Shimla MC to facilitate the event’s accessibility by installing this screen for the public.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu joined citizens at Mall Road Shimla today to watch the India-Australia Final match of the Cricket World Cup 2023 on this new LED screen.
Commending the SMC for its efforts, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu that the government has laid special focus on bolstering tourism and increasing the tourist influx in the State and many steps have been taken in this regard.
