CM Sukhu reaches assembly for the budget session in his old Alto car

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu did not forget his days of 20 years. On becoming an MLA for the first time in 2003, he reached the assembly building in Shimla in his own Alto car. On Tuesday, when he reached the Vidhansabha Bhawan for the first time for the budget session after becoming the Chief Minister, he came from his official residence Oak Over in the same Alto car.

The convey of Chief minister arrived in very dramatic change by leaving out of his luxurious SUVs turned up in his old Alto car today as house assembled for Budget session at Council Chamber on Tuesday. Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu also announced to change the system by setting aside the VVIPS privileges. He also seen walking on foot previously between CMO Office to his residence and strolling Mall without his convey. Mr Sukhu also shocked the CMO staff for leaving monotonous protocol. He often seen interacting with common people and Tourists on the public places. 

When being asked by the media, the Chief Minister said that he used his Alto car after becoming MLA for the first time, and he was using this car to visit Vidhan Sabha, since then, as a MLA.  “It reminds me of my old days”, said the Chief Minister after he reached Vidhan Sabha for his first budget session in this treasured possession.

Education Minister, Rohit Thakur and MLA Lahaul-Spiti also accompanied him on this occasion.

The Chief Minister was welcomed by Deputy Chief Minister, Mukesh Agnihotri and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Harshwardhan Chauhan at Vidhan Sabha.

This was not the first time that people had witnessed the simplicity of the Chief Minister, as he was seen on morning walks numerous times at the Mall Road like an ordinary man even meeting people without any VVIP protocol.
