CM Sukhu has announced to visit the far flung villages of the Himachal to meet the village folks
To know better the grievances of the people of the State and redress them there and then, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced to visit the far flung villages of the State to meet the village folks and spend adequate time with them besides solving their grievances.
It is for the first time in the State that such an initiative has been taken to reach out to rural masses and visit remote and rural regions. The Chief Minister will mark its beginning from the remote Dodra-Kwar on 26th of this month.
Similar directions have been issued to all the Ministers to visit the rural hamlets of their areas and besides solving their grievances on the spot shall share the development schemes and programmes with them and to make them understand better as how to go for deriving the benefits of the schemes of the Government. Apart from this initiative will also give feedback to the Government regarding the performance of the officers and officials posted in such regions.
The Chief Minister stated that under the ‘Vyavastha Parivartan’ initiative and to make the State self-reliant, the Government has decided to head towards the villages and the remote rural belts of Himachal Pradesh. He will listen to the grievances of the people to better understand their day to day problems.
Shankar Chauhan, Pradhan Temple Committee, Kwar said ‘Yeh Pradesh ke Itihaas mein pehli baar ho raha hai ki koi mukhya mantri ka yeh faisla gaon ki tarakki aur vikas ki nei manzilein hasil kaerga aur hamari samasyaon ka nivaran karega’ (this beginning of the Chief Minister and other Ministers will usher a new era to escalate the development of these areas and solve our grievances. ‘Sarkaar’ was coming to address our needs and stay with us. This will give them a peep of the hardships of the people residing in the far flung areas of the State’, he said.
Smt. Nekpati of Kwar had a similar view. It is a matter of great pride that the Chief Minister of the State has decided to give ample time to us and stay in our village. It’s a Deepawali gift for us, she said.

Sh. Hardyal a retired teacher also appreciated the move of the Government and said that the visit of Chief Minister and the Ministers will certainly help 90 percent of the grievances resolved at our very door steps.
After assuming office, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu notably held a public ‘Darbar’ for two days in villages of Kaza in Lahaul-Spiti during which he introduced several new development projects based on the feedback given by villagers and listened to their grievances spending plentiful time with them. Directions were issued to solve various issues as of drinking water, roads, paths, and electricity to hamlets to give much needed relief to the village masses.
