CM Sukhu exhorts students to dream big
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presided over the 176th Founder’s Day celebration at The Lawrence School, Sanawar in Solan district today. He gave away prizes to the meritorious students and those who excelled in various fields.
While congratulating the teachers and students on this special occasion, the Chief Minister exhorted the students to first become a good human being. “Life’s decisions can often be complex, with ups and downs to test you, sometimes the easy path or self-interest appears tempting, but never follow shortcut to achieve success. There is no shortcut in life” said Sh. Sukhu. Remember, that success, fame, status and wealth may give momentary happiness but the real satisfaction is derived from your inner strength while remaining true to your ethos and values and upholding your morals,” he said.
Emphasizing on the importance of authenticity and unwavering belief in one’s principles, he said that life was a rollercoaster of highs and lows, but one’s integrity and values serve as a steadfast guide. He asked the students to dream big, work tirelessly to achieve their aspirations, and never give up, even when facing significant challenges.
The Chief Minister applauded The Lawrence School, Sanawar for its outstanding track record in nurturing the self-confidence and discipline among the students besides inculcating the values, generosity and compassion in them and making them stand-to-self as they step into the real world. “This institution has molded numerous lives and continues to inspire the pursuit of knowledge and character,” said Sh. Sukhu.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inspected an impressive parade presented by the school’s students. He also inaugurated the Teacher’s Enrichment Centre and an Innovation Exhibition on the occasion.
Headmaster, Himmat Singh Dhillon extended a warm welcome to the Chief Minister and elaborated on the school’s accomplishments and activities, underscoring its commitment to providing a well-rounded education for its students.
Wife of Chief Minister, Kamlesh Thakur, Education Minister Rohit Thakur, MLAs Vinod Sultanpuri and Bhuvneshwar Gaur, Political Advisor to the Chief Minister, Sunil Sharma, Chairman Jogindra Bank, Mukesh Sharma, Solan District Congress President Shiv Kumar, Secretary Home, Dr. Abhishek Jain, ADC, Ajay Yadav, SP, Gaurav Singh and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion amongst others.
