CM inaugurates and lays foundation stone of developmental projects of Rs. 210 crore at Kandraur in District Bilaspur
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur performed inauguration and foundation stone of 26 developmental projects worth about Rs. 210 crore at Kandraur in Bilaspur Sadar Assembly Constituency of Bilaspur district today.
Chief Minister inaugurated Rs. 64.66 crore source level augmentation of various LWSS/WSS from Koldam, Rs. 70 lakh office building of HPSEB Sub Division-II, Nihal, Rs. 4.26 crore 144 meters girder bridge over Seer khad at Mityal, Rs. 16 lakh veterinary hospital building Harlog and Rs. 11.83 crore Markanday Temple precinct and visitors facilities complex, Makri-Markand.
Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of Rs. 36 lakh veterinary dispensary Hawan, Rs. 19.03 crore augmentation of source of water supply scheme of GP Talyana, Hawan, Bhulswai, Harlog, Saruin-Khas, Kuthera, Rs. 23.67 crore reliable drinking water source/augmentation of existing source for multi villages group of Sadar Block, Rs. 14.60 crore retrofitting of various ongoing LWSS/WSS to achieve FHTC, Rs. 1.38 crore improvement of LIS Ladher and Matiyar in GP Pater, Rs. 5.18 crore lift irrigation scheme to GP Malyawar, Rs. 5.19 crore lift irrigation scheme to GP Nichli Bhater and Rs. 1.35 crore improvement of LIS Bachari Masdon, Parnal Mehri-Kathla.
Chief Minister also performed foundation stones of Rs. 2.34 crore City Livelihood Centre building at Bilaspur, Rs. one crore Model Career Centre building at Bilaspur, Rs. 1.46 crore helipad at Luhanu Bilaspur, Rs. 6.66 crore 240 meters span bridge over Satluj river at Bagrin, Rs. 5.90 crore link road village Niun to Luhnu (Chhaparoh)RCC girder bridge over Bajarwal khud, Rs. 4 crore link road from Galyana to Jol-Plakhin, Rs. 4.43 crore link road from Dharwasara to Hadimba Devi Temple, Rs. 29.50 crore upgradation of Raghunathpura-Mandi-Harapura-Bharari road, Bilaspur, Rs.28 lakh lift in DC office Bilaspur, Rs. 25 lakh parking near DC office Bilaspur and Rs. 15 lakh playground in Government Senior Secondary School, Kandraur.
Later, while addressing a largely attended public meeting at Senior Secondary School Kandraur, Chief Minister announced opening of Jal Shakti Sub Division at Kuthera, and opening of Sub Tehsil at Harlog. He also announced increasing bed capacity of Civil Hospital Bilaspur from 270 to 300 beds. He also announced starting of science classes at Senior Secondary School Morsinghi and Commerce classes at Government Senior Secondary School Khuh Majwarah, opening of PWD Rest House at Kandraur, opening of PHC at Barmana and Health Sub Centre at Jabalayana. He also announced that three roads of the area would be posed
for funding under NABARD.
Chief Minister announced that water sports and other tourism developmental activities would be started in Govindsagar Lake under ADB Project to attract tourists to this area. He also announced Rs 50 lakh for restoration of roof of Senior Secondary School Kandraur.
Chief Minister said that the developmental projects inaugurated and foundation stones of which were laid by him today would go a long way in setting pace for new era of development in the area. He said that National BJP President J.P. Nadda has represented this area for several years and it was indeed a matter of pride for every citizen of the district and the State. He said that Bilaspur district has emerged as a pioneer district in the State due to setting up of AIIMS. He said that the credit of this goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National BJP President J.P. Nadda. He said that this premier institution would be dedicated to the State by the Prime Minister probably during the month of June this year.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the State was fortunate for the benevolence showered by the Prime Minister towards the State. He said that Prime Minister during the last four years have visited the State five times, including during the oath ceremony of the present State Government on 27th December, 2017. He said that Prime Minister during these years have not only sanctioned projects worth crores of rupees for the State but has also dedicated and laid foundation stone of developmental projects worth Rs 11,500 crore during his recent visit to Mandi on completion of four years term of the present State Government.
While accusing the previous Congress Government for the financial mess in the State, Chief Minister said that the present State Government inherited financial burden of about Rs 50,000 crore from the previous Government. He said that despite the pandemic, the present State Government took numerous steps to strengthen the economy of the State. He said that the Congress leaders did nothing in this crisis and even tried to politicize this sensitive issue. He reminded the Congress leaders that there were only 50 ventilators in the State when the pandemic spread whereas today the State has over 1000 ventilators.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the four years of the present Government were dedicated towards the development of the State with special focus on upliftment of the poor and downtrodden. He said that the Government soon after holding the reins of the State, lowered the age for availing the benefits of old age pension, without income limit criteria, from 80 years to 70 years. The age for the women has been further lowered from
70 to 65 years, he added.
Chief Minister said that programmes like Jan Manch, CM Helpline 1100, Sahara Yojna, Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna, Himcare, Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojna etc. have been proving boon to the people of the State. He said that Himachal Pradesh has emerged as the first State in the country in becoming smoke-free State having every household with LPG gas connection. But for opposition leaders these welfare schemes of the State Government seemed to be nothing as they were concerned about their own development, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the country under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has successfully launched the biggest vaccination campaign of the world and the State has also become first State of the country in achieving cent percent vaccination of eligible age group.
Chief Minister was also presented a cheque of Rs. 50 lakh towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund by Food and Civil Supplies Minister Rajinder Garg and Vice Chairman State Disaster Management Board Randhir Sharma on behalf of Temple Trust Shri Naina Devi Ji on the occasion.
Various social, cultural, political associations honoured the Chief Minister on the occasion.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Rajinder Garg said that the State has witnessed unparalleled development during the last four years under the able and dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He said that ‘Jan Manch’ and ‘Chief Minister Sewa Sankalp Helpline 1100’ has ensured governance at the door steps of the common man. He said that ‘Shagun Yojna’ was providing much needed relief to the poor families at the time of marriage of their daughters, as Rs 31000 were being provided to them by the State Government.
MLA Bilaspur Sadar Subhash Thakur while welcoming the Chief Minister to his home constituency said that area has witnessed unprecedented development during the last four years. He thanked the Chief Minister for being considerate towards the developments and aspiration of the people of the Sadar area. He said that Rs. 19.03 crore augmentation of source of water supply scheme for various gram panchayats of the area and Rs. 23.67 crore reliable drinking water source/augmentation of existing source for multi villages group of Sadar block, foundation stone of which was laid by the Chief Minister today, would solve the drinking water problem of the area.
