CITU sponsored Protest outside cement plants at Bharmana & Ambuja continue
Central Indian Trade Union sponsored Protest outside Adani owned Bharmana and Ambuja Cement plants in Himachal Pradesh continue as truckers and workers are seeking action against the lock out notice by the Corporate house. CITU district Secretary Vajinder Mehra said today in a press statement that government should act under the Industrial Dispute Act to take control of both cement plants if these were not restored by the Corporate house after four days long Protest at Bharmana in Bilaspur district and Darlaghat of Solan district. The talk between the company management on December 15 with district administration and on December 17 between Administeration and Trukkers union remained fail to resolve the deadlock. State Government on December 18 decided to cancel major deal with both Cement plants to buy its products for all Goverment projects after handing over the new release order issued to Ultra Cement at Bagha in Solan district. Mr Mehra said that Goverment should protect interest of workers who were left jobless without proper notice and readdrsssal. He demanded that Goverment should take the control of both cement plants in its hands under Industrial dispute act to resume their operations. He said that CITU is stood with affected people of Cement plants and thousands of truckkers and Workers who are left on the road by placing bill or notice of clouser of plants without following due process. CITU already demanded registeration of FIR against the Adani Corporate house for monopolising the operation of both cement plants in the state. State government have directed Deputy Commissioners of Bilaspur and Solan district to talk with the management and stakeholders to end the deadlock. The Goverment stock of Cement are already empty and it has swapped the orders to Ultra Tech Cement plants beside taking remedial measures. On December 13 Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu asked the state price control panel of cement and industrial goods to check the hile of Cement price by the both Corporate house without informing the government. The Corporate house have given hile of Rs 5 per bag in Cement which was protested by new Congress government.
