CITU seeks reinstatement of fired Ambulance workers
Under the banner of trade union CITU, the workers fired from 108 and 102 ambulance services held an indefinite ‘dharna’ outside the National Health Mission office at Kasumpti in Shimla town on Saturday sought immediate reinstatement of victimised staff.
CITU State President Vijendra Mehra and General Secretary Prem Gautam extended support of state unit of CITU to the agitating employees.
He has said that organization would intensify the fight for the restoration of others state private workers mobilizing them statewide..

108 and 102 Contract Workers Union Convenor Manohar Lal and co-convener Praveen Kumar have alleged that more than two hundred drivers, Emergency medical technician and Captains, who have been working for many years, have been unnecessarily fired from their jobs.
He said that this company is also following in the footsteps of the former company GVK.
Hundreds of laborers have been retrenched after changing the contract and in their place new appointments have been made on the basis of nepotism and recommendation.
The state government and the health department are silent on all this. They have demanded that the workers fired from their jobs should be reinstated.
Salary should be given to the laborers as per the decision of the Court and labor laws should be implemented, they demanded.
