Chiog school children took out a cleanliness rally on NSS day
National Service Scheme (NSS) Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Thursday in Government Senior Secondary School, Chiog. On this occasion, NSS volunteers and other students took part in various activities. Anjali Kanwar got first place in the speech competition. While Anjali Verma got the first position in poetry recitation, Raj in painting, and Aarti in slogan writing. Thereafter, NSS volunteers took out a rally in Chiog market and gave the message of cleanliness, unity, and integrity of the nation.
Principal Sandeep Sharma, while congratulating on NSS Day, said that the NSS scheme has been started in educational institutions to inculcate the feeling of patriotism, social service, hard work, and self-confidence in children, by joining which children, in addition to education, also acquire practical knowledge. He called upon the children to set a goal in their lives and work hard to achieve it.
NSS officer Rakesh Thakur gave detailed information about the National Service Scheme. Teachers and non-teaching staff of the school were also present on this occasion.
