Youth’s future is in danger due to non-construction of Koti College building, Demonstration of Kisan Sabha on May 9 in Koti
The phrase ‘Nau Din Chale Adhai Kos’ fits perfectly on the pace of development of Kasumpti assembly constituency. A clear example of this is the progress in the construction of the building of Koti College, announced in 2014, where only the foundation stone has been laid in 8 years. The college is still running in the school building. At present about 150 children are studying in this college, but due to non-construction of building and lack of science subjects, children are forced to go to Shimla or Solan. At the same time, local people said that if the college building is not built soon, then admission in Koti College may fall in the next session and the number of children may decrease. Hurt by the construction of the building hanging in limbo for years, the Kisan Sabha has decided to protest against the slow pace of construction of the Koti College building on May 9. Secretary of Kasumpti Unit of Kisan Sabha, Jaishiv Singh Thakur said that the demonstration on May 9 will be symbolic, if the building construction process is not started soon, then after 15 days a dharna will be held at the office of Director Education.Regarding the May 9 demonstration, the Kisan Sabha campaigned by distributing pamphlets in the panchayats of Kasumpti area and appealed to the public to participate in the demonstration.
