Children were made aware about voting under the SVEEP programme
An awareness camp was organized under the SVEEP programme in Government Senior Secondary School Peeran and Cheekhar, High School Dhali and Middle School Trahai of Mashobra Block, courtesy of the Election Department. In which nodal officers Basant Sharma, Suresh Dutt and Neeraj Mahajan informed the school children about the importance of voting in democracy. They said that every person of the age group of 18 years and above should exercise their right to vote, which leads to the formation of a strong government. The nodal officers said that India is the largest democracy in the world where the government is formed by electing the people. In this series, under the SVEEP programme, children are being informed about the importance of voting in democracy in every educational institution so that this message can reach every home through the children. On this occasion, the children gave the message of voting to the people by raising slogans like ‘No matter what the compulsion is – voting is necessary’.
BLO Rahul Sharma Trahai, Satyanand Dhali, Neeraj Sharma Peeran and BLO Nekram Chikhar informed the children about the importance of voting. They urged the children to make their parents and family members above 18 years of age aware about the importance of voting and motivate them to definitely cast their vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on June 1. On this occasion, teachers and non-teaching staff of the concerned schools were also present.
