Children planted medicinal plants in Junga school

Under the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, Van Mahotsav was celebrated on Friday under the joint aegis of the NSS unit of Government Model Senior Secondary School Junga and Mayur Club. Principal Suman Chandel inaugurated the plantation campaign by planting a deodar sapling. On this occasion, the children of NSS and Mayur Club planted more than a hundred saplings of different species around the school campus. In this plantation program, Rathmu Beat forest guard Kushal Sharma gave information about providing saplings and planting them in the right way.
Addressing the children on this occasion, Suman Chandel said that forests are very important in human life and without trees and plants, human life on earth cannot be imagined. He said that if there are forests, there is life. Exploitation of forest wealth is increasing the imbalance in the environment which is proving fatal for humans. He appealed to the children to plant trees in the vacant land around their homes and spread this message to every home.
Program officer Ram Lal Lodhata, Maina Chauhan and Mayur Club in-charge Varij Sharma ensured their participation in plantation along with the children. Medicinal plants like deodar, pomegranate, kanth, amla etc. were planted on this occasion.
