Children learnt ways to avoid disaster through mock drill

With the aim of giving information about disaster management to the children, Home Guard jawans practiced a mock drill in the huge courtyard of Government Adarsh ​​Senior Secondary School, Junga on Tuesday. It was chaired by Company Commander Dinesh Kumar, Third Battalion, Shimla, Home Security Department, Junga. On this occasion, children were given practical information through mock drill about how to save themselves during disasters like earthquake and fire etc. Company Commander Dinesh Kumar said that there is no fixed time for a disaster to occur, but every person should always be mentally prepared to deal with a disaster, so that there is hope of reducing loss of life and property.
While welcoming the Home Guard jawans, the school’s Principal Suman Chandel said that the disaster prevention tips given by the Home Guard jawans to the children through the mock drill will prove to be very beneficial. She urged to make children and other people aware through mock drills in future as well. The Principal specially appreciated Rajender Singh, Professional Instructor Private Security and Naresh Kumar, In-charge Disaster Management, working in the school for their cooperation in the program.
9 jawans of the Home Security Department took part in this mock drill. All the teachers, non-teachers and students of the school took part in the program. All the teachers and students benefited from this event.
