Himachal got help worth thousands of crores from the Centre: Mahendra Dharmani
The Chief Minister of the state is misleading the people of Himachal by lying and denying the relief worth thousands of crores received from the Central Government during the disaster, which does not suit a dignified post like the Chief Minister. BJP spokesperson Mahendra said that The Modi government at the Center has well fulfilled its responsibility in the development of the state by providing disaster relief and various schemes worth ₹ 1782 crore.
He said that being troubled by the political turmoil in Congress, the Chief Minister is making false statements under pressure. Due to internal fighting, development work has come to a standstill in the state, the government is in minority, due to which the Chief Minister is again misleading the public by telling lies to take advantage in the upcoming elections.
Spokesperson Mahendra Dharmani said that the Center has helped Himachal Pradesh a lot during the disaster, which the Chief Minister forgets again and again. At the time of the disaster, the Central Government sent Rs 1782 crore to Himachal Pradesh for relief. Apart from this, the state got Rs 1000 crore through MNREGA, Rs 200 crore from Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Rs 403 crore 53 lakh through National Disaster Response Fund, Rs 360 crore 80 lakh under State Disaster Response Fund, Rs 85 crore 60 lakh under State Disaster Mitigation Fund. The amount has been provided directly to Himachal Pradesh by the Central Government. Apart from this, about Rs 2700 crore was sent by the Center for the construction of roads and bridges in Himachal Pradesh from the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
Hundreds of villages in Himachal will be connected with road facilities under phase three of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). Almost all the villages in the state with a population of five hundred have been connected by road. Now the government is connecting the village with a population of 250 with road facilities. The Central Government has released an amount of Rs 2372.59 crore to Himachal. Apart from this, the state government will bear Rs 270.42 crore. 2682.934 kilometers of roads will be constructed in the state at a cost of Rs 2643 crore. The amount of Rs 225 crore given by the general public to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund was also directly included in this relief package. Construction of National Highway four lanes and bridges is also being done by the Central Government at many places. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, during his visit to Kullu, gave Rs 400 crore to Himachal in view of the disaster and after that the expenses for all the roads being repaired are also covered. The central government itself is bearing the burden. The Center has released a sum of Rs 38 crore 86 lakh for the reconstruction of 33.50 km stretch of Jia-Manikaran road. This amount has been released under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund. The State Environment Impact Assessment Authority has given environmental clearance to the Medical Device Park being set up in the industrial area Nalagarh. There will be an investment of five thousand crores in the Medical Device Park being established on 121.80 hectares and employment opportunities will be available to more than ten thousand people.
Spokesperson Mahendra said that apart from helping the Central Government, BJP went among the people and helped them and shared their pain and suffering, but the Chief Minister of the state is telling lies among the public to take advantage in the Lok Sabha elections. . The people of the state are well aware of this and this time Modi is committed to fulfilling the resolution of 400 by standing with a guarantee in the Lok Sabha elections.
