Chamba to commemorate 1905- Kangra tragedy as a Mockdrill

A Mockock drill would commemorate April 4, 1905 Kangra Earthquake tragedy by the District Disaster management authority in the form of Prabhat Pheri and two days residential training.  Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority Chamba DC Rana said in a press release issued here today that on April 4, an awareness programs and mock drills would be held with the help of the team of NDRF at Government Post Graduate College, Chamba. He also informed that Prabhat Ferry would start from Millennium Gate and will run from Paridhi Griha-Cafe Road-Hospital Road to Iravati Chowk. DC said that on April 5 and 6, two days residential training on Disaster Management Capacity Development Program for talented youth of voluntary organizations at Youth Hostel Dalhousie. On the tragedy of the devastating Kangra earthquake in which 15000 people killed a mock drill on earthquake would be commemorate in the educational institutions of the district on April 4 at 11 am, he added.
