CBI arrests income tax dept tax assistant at Parwanoo

THE sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today arrested a tax assistant of Income tax department red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 15,000 AT Industrial township Parwanoo.

A team of CBI following a complaint of the management of a business firm laid a trap and arrested the tax assistant Manish Bedi red handed. The investigations made by the sleuths revealed that the accused Mainsh Bedi was currently posted in Investigation Wing of department and was demanding bribe money from the complainant in lieu of executing the work since long. The accused was adopting the dilly dallaying tactics to harass the complainant who finally complained to CBI officials at Shimla who nabbed the accused Manish Bedi. A case has been registered under prevention of corruption Act.
