Bye election: Himachal BJP to relay on green horns
Ruling BJP in relying on the green horns or novices against facing tough challenge from opposition Congress for Mandi Parliamentary, Jubbal Kotkhai, Fetapur and Arki Assembly constituency bye election schedule to be hold on October 30 in Himachal.
Party former spokesperson Mr Ganesh Dutt confirmed that Brigadier Khushal Thakur who participated in Kargil Vijay Operation to be party candidate against former MP and widow of former chief minister Virbhadra Singh from Mandi Lok Sabha Ms Pratibha Singh.
Brigadier Khushal Thakur likely to be file his nomination papers today at Mandi as October 8 is last date of filling nomination, Mr Dutt confirmed.
Party also relying on the woman candidate, Ms Neelam Saraik, former Zila Parishad member and Political adversaries of former MLA late Mr Narendra Bragta for Jubbal Kotkhai Assembly constituency against four times former MLA Rohit Thakur.
Party also decided to pit a Zila Parishad member Baldev Thakur for Fetepur Assembly seat against the Bhawani Singh Pathania son of former Congress and sitting MLA late Mr Sujjan Singh Pathania.
Party also decided to test again former candidate Mr Rattan Pall who have lost to former chief minister late Virbhadra Singh in 2017 Assembly Election for Arki Assembly. Congress party had also put Mr Rajinder Awasthi in place of Mr Virbhadra Singh from this seat.
Earlier to this BJP have hold on Mandi LS and Jubbal Kotkhai with BJP and Fatepur and Arki with Congress party.
