By imposing by-elections, BJP has put a burden of Rs 100-150 crores on the public : Kamlesh
Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur said that only Congress can develop Dehra. All the work in this area has been done during the Congress government. The independent MLA who was elected for 5 years got compartment after 14 months, now the same exam is being held again, which happened in 2022. The former independent MLA has resigned and is contesting elections again to become an MLA, he does not want to become a Prime Minister. The public should ask him why he resigned.
Kamlesh Thakur said these things in Dehra assembly constituency during election campaign on Tuesday. She said that I am aware of my responsibilities, I also know how to fulfill them, the opposition failed to fulfill its responsibilities. BJP has unnecessarily burdened the public with Rs 100-150 crores by imposing 9 by-elections. If the former independent MLA had to go with the BJP, then what was the need to hold by-elections, he should have supported the BJP without resigning. The former MLA has failed to bring development in Dehra. Now the focus of Dehra will bring a wave of development in the area.
Had there been no bye-elections, development works would have been in full swing in the area. Children’s employment would not have stopped, they would have got appointment by giving exams for government jobs. Due to repeated imposition of code of conduct, development works have stopped, exams are not being held. Children are becoming overage. BJP is responsible for this too. BJP does not have any issue. Their leaders are saying that the Congress candidate is not from Dehra. They do not know that my birth, education, everything is in Dehra, my maternal home and land are also here. The BJP candidate was born in Mumbai and mostly lives in Mumbai and Canada. If I go then it is to my in-laws’ house or Shimla to get your work done because most of the public’s work is done in the secretariat.
She said that after winning the election, your attention will come to the Panchayat level, I will solve the problems by staying in one Panchayat for one day. The pain that Dehra has been suffering for 25 years will not have to be suffered after July 13.
Kamlesh said that Dehra has indeed been ignored. The former independent MLA of this area has hurt public sentiments. The public is asking him why he resigned after 14 months when he was elected for 5 years. This election is being held for three and a half years. I am not fond of politics, I am contesting elections on the orders of the high command. If my work is good then the people of Dehra will ask me to contest elections again. This area is going to get a readymade Chief Minister, so on July 10, give maximum votes to the Congress candidate and your attention.
