Breach of construction norms – Shimla MC slaps notice on the disqualified MLA 

Shimla Municipal Corporation today issued a notice to Congress disqualified MLA from Badsar for allegedly breaching the construction norms in Shimla as the notices were issued here today.

Confirming the development Architect Planner of Shimla MC Mehboob Shaikh said that notice was issued to Sh Inder Datt resident of Near Goyal Motor, Taradevi Shimla.

Notice was issued under section 253 of Shimla HP Municipal Corporation Act 1994 for allegedly indulging in unauthorized construction. Notice was also issued to MLA on May 15, 2015. The AP said that Inder Datt was asked to appear before the AP tomorrow ( March 23, 2024) at 10 am. The persons have to be asked to remain present before the AP office tomorrow in person and failing to comply with the directions action would be taken by the civic body for the illegal construction.    

A copy of the notice was also shared by Inder Datt Lakhanpal on a social media post stating that he was summoned under section 253. Former MLA said that he was warned that his house would be demolished.
