BJP trying to mislead people about inflation: Pratibha
State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh has accused the BJP of unsuccessfully trying to mislead people on inflation. She said that due to the dictatorial decisions and policies of the BJP, inflation and unemployment have increased in the country. She said that the way the former BJP government in the state emptied the government treasury is not hidden from anyone. The state Congress government has inherited a loan of more than Rs 70 thousand crore and liabilities of Rs 10 thousand crore from the BJP.
Pratibha Singh said in a statement today that the state is going through a difficult economic situation due to natural disasters. She said that BJP leaders are making false statements in the name of relief to earn their political fortunes. She said that the Central Government has also turned a blind eye towards the state. She said that the BJP has a double character on the disaster. The BJP government at the Center is discriminating against Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh which is very unfortunate.
Pratibha Singh said that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has taken a huge step by setting up a relief fund of Rs 4500 crore for the disaster-affected people, which is very commendable. She said that the Congress government of the state understands the pain of the affected people very well and the entire Congress government is working day and night to remove this pain.
Pratibha Singh has advised the BJP leaders that they should give full cooperation to the state government in providing relief and rehabilitation of the affected people in the state as well as reconstruction of roads, bridges, and buildings destroyed by landslides. She said that BJP MPs and leaders of the state should meet the Prime Minister and demand special financial help by declaring this disaster as a national disaster. She has said that BJP is not going to achieve anything by making meaningless statements. The people of the state have completely rejected him and she will have to face defeat in the coming Lok Sabha elections also.
