BJP state in-charge wrote a letter to Union Minister Piyush Goyal, sought inquiry
BJP state in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna wrote a letter to Union Minister of Textiles Commerce and Industry, Food and Public Distribution Piyush Goyal.
In the letter, Avinash Rai Khanna informed Piyush Goyal that the case of 24 sacks full of government rice thrown in the forest of Bhoranj assembly constituency, district Hamirpur, on which the photo of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was affixed, has come to the fore.
In the letter, Avinash Rai Khanna has requested Minister Piyush Goyal to take serious consideration of this matter and take action.
This topic came to my notice through the news of Avinash Rai Khanna, in which 24 sacks full of government rice were found in Paplah forest of Vidhansabha Bhoranj district Hamirpur, cheap ration bags with photos of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee were also found in this matter. The functioning of the Food Supply Department and the State Monitoring Supply Department comes under the scanner by throwing government ration in the open in the forest amid apprehensions of foul play.
In which ration depot, the responsibility of checking how much stock was issued and how much was consumed, is on both the corporation and the department every month. In such a situation, there is a big question as to who threw this ration in the Bhoranj forest.
BJP State Vice President Sanjeev Katwal confirmed this letter and said that this episode is unfortunate and there should be a fair investigation on it.
