BJP stands with the people and government of Himachal: Randhir
Senior BJP leader and MLA from Naina Devi Randhir Sharma while addressing a press conference said that BJP expresses concern in this hour of disaster, our party is standing with the people and the government at this time and is ready to give every support.
Randhir Sharma requested the Chief Minister and the leaders of the government to speed up the rescue work being done in the state. He said that the government should provide all possible help to the affected people and without making any excuses, the government should pave the way to fight the disaster.
Randhir Sharma, referring to last year’s disaster, said that the benefits of the disaster package announced by the government have not yet reached the public, this is a big failure of the Congress government. The government did not learn anything from the last disaster and did not learn any lesson, the suggestions given during the discussion in the assembly were also ignored, which included how to prevent disaster or take precautions on it, were sidelined.
There was a discussion in the Assembly about taking advice from experts to deal with the disaster but the government did not take any step in that direction.
He said that before the disaster, during the rains, no meetings were organized by the government, like disaster management, officers’ meeting or any other type of preparation meeting. This is a mistake on the part of the government. Randhir Sharma also assured the government that BJP is fully ready to get support from the Center.
Randhir Sharma said that the Congress government takes anti-people decisions, due to which their party has been ruined many times, but the government is still not backing down from taking anti-people decisions. While the government had promised to give 300 units of free electricity to the people, the government took back the 125 units of free electricity being given by the Jairam government.
The way the government has closed the Him Care scheme in private hospitals is injustice to the public. If there is some irregularity in the scheme, then strict action should be taken on it, but closing the scheme is not a solution in any way. People from far-flung areas of Himachal Pradesh can easily get treatment in private hospitals. This scheme is very beneficial for those people.
