BJP is divided house, diverting attention from real electoral issues : Cong
Ahead of bye elections in the state consider mini-election before the 2022 General assemblyelection the war of words has intensified between the two major parties.
Opposition Congress cornering the ruling Jai Ram Government during by-elections that it is trying to divert attention from the real issues of price rise, unemployment and failure to deliver good governance in the hill state.
Addressing a press conference here Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Mr Naresh Chauhan said that BJP is time and again trying acuse Congress leaders to be against Indian army, however BJP leaders want to divert attention from the issue of inflation, unemployment and factionalism in the ruling party.
Mr Chauhan made a scathing attack on the ruling BJP that it could not disown the responsibility toward the public issues while in power by initiating verbal attack on the Congress leadership and policy of the previous Congress rule..
Congress leaders said that Covid, lockdown, and demonetisation increased the poverty and hunger in the country as India is worse than Pakistan,Bangladesh and Nepal in the hunger index.
He said that wrong policies of the BJP government at center is pushing the nation on the brink of bankruptcy as Modi Govt is denationalizing and privatizing the national assets to run the show .
Instead of focusing on the Congress he asked the ruling BJP to set its own camp in order as the ruling partybecame a divided house being run by many factions.
Congress leader said that party would keep on focusing on the issue of public interest as people in the state during by-elections would vote on the performance of ruling government rather than performance of opposition which is out of powerin the state
Taking a jibe at president Suresh Kashyap to raise questions of the Congress leadership and its policy Mr Chauhan said that Mr Kashayap should bother about his own party as Congress has no dearth of leader, policy and direction.
Under the BJP rule there is no check on rising inflation and unemployment as people are still suffering despite the post-corona period. He said that small businesses have ruined and people are workless farmers are not getting remunerative prices oftheir crop.
He said that the state Government could not run away from the issue of inflation as the prices of petrol and diesel is beyond Rs 100per litre, People are discussing that LPG cylinders are going beyond 1000 rupees soon.
He said that prices of essential commodities are skyrocketing and responsibility comes on the state government and center to address the important issues.
Congress challenged Jai Ram Government to come with white paper to showcase developmental work done in the state in the last four years. he added.
