BJP high command does not trust the leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur
The Bharatiya Janata Party has accepted its defeat with the announcement of not contesting the elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Devendra Bushehri said that some time back BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda kept announcing from public forums that BJP would contest the Vidhan Sabha elections in Himachal Pradesh under the leadership of Jai Ram Thakur, but now that the process of Vidhan Sabha elections has started, now the tone of the BJP high command has also started to change. Due to the failures of the last five years, the people have made up their mind to overthrow the BJP, fearing this, the BJP has started to refrain using name of Jai Ram Thakur.
BJP infighting at its peak over the selection of candidates-
Due to the poor functioning of BJP MLAs and ministers for these five years, voters are determined to overthrow them. The voting process adopted by the troubled BJP leadership to select its candidates this time seems ridiculous in itself. In this voting process, the polling booths for the four Lok Sabha constituencies were delivered by helicopter from Delhi and the mandal level office bearers voted for the selection of the candidate. In this whole process huge money was misused by BJP. After voting, these ballot boxes were taken back to Delhi by helicopter. From this whole process it has become clear that to what high level there are differences of opinion in the selection of candidates within the BJP and the ruling party is a victim of infighting. If the state government had acted properly in five years, then why was there a need to adopt such a process today.
