BJP government fails to check inflation, unemployment – Congress

CASTIGATING the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) government over its failure in checking the inflation and unemployment, the president of Himachal Congress Kuldeep Rathor today said that BJP is completely a divided house in the state.

Claiming that contrary to opposition, congress  rank and file unititedly launched a massive campaign to educate the masses concerning anti, people, anti farmer, anti youth and anti women policies of Jai Ram Thakur government in Himachal.

Talking to media persons here on Monday, Kuldeep Rathor said that ever since the BJP came to power in Himachal, it was playing the politics of promoting regionalism, haters and communalism to divide the society. He said that law and order situation was deteriorating day by day, and crimes against women have witnessed increase. Drug, liquor and other mafias seemed to have gone uncontrolled and police officials were turning back towards maintaining the law and order in the state.

Blaming the election commission officials of working under pressure, he apprehended that BJP may misuse government machinery and use money power to influence the electorates.  He said that congress sympathizers and workers were being harassed on one or other pretext. Rathor said that certain government officers and employees were acting as BJP’s agent. He advised them to act as public servant as the government comes and go but “public servants” must act honestly and without any political affiliation in larger public interest.

Rathor said that Jai Ram government had miserably failed in carrying out all-round development and now making all out efforts to divert the attention of people from basic issues to woo the voters. Not only this, certain BJP leaders were also indulging in politics of mudslinging to mislead the masses from the apparent vertical split of BJP in the state.

He said that since chief minister was using helicopter for touring the state, the condition of the roads were in bad shape and BJP government  instead of initiating new developmental projects appeared to busy in completing the projects, initiated by the congress during its regime in the state.
