BJP election announcements without budget provision : Congress
The State Congress President and member of Parliament from Mandi Pratibha Singh has termed Chief Minister Jairam Thakur’d announcements misleading voter to allure them. In a press statement issued here today she said that at one hand the government is relying on the whopping borrowing to meet its daily expenses and on the other hand CM is making announcements without any budget provisio.She showed concern that state has sunk into debt of Rs 70,000 crore and the Chief Minister is busy in election rallies by misusing the government machinery and money, which is very unfortunate. Pratibha Singh has also expressed surprise that the Chief Minister is taking big decisions in cabinet meetings without any budget provision. She has said that everyone is aware of the economic condition of the state. Not a single penny is given additional to state dues grants from the Center for reduce state dependence on the debt.
Seeking white paper Pratibha Singh said that Goverment must explain about budget provision for the number of announcements being made by the Chief minister. She said that the government should tell from where the money would come for this and how much budget the government has to fulfill these announcements. Pratibha Singh has said that the Chief Minister is trying to mislead the people of the state. The BJP government has neither protected the interests of the employees nor has made any concrete policy for the farmers and gardeners. Common people are troubled by rising inflation and unemployment. BJP never talks on these issues. Cases like paper leaks have exposed the growing corruption in the state. She said that corruption has been fully protected by the BJP and the countdown for the BJP government in the state has started.
