BJP drowned the state in debt of 70 thousand crores : Surjit Thakur, AAP
Attacking Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Aam Aadmi Party’s state president Surjit Thakur said that the BJP government has drowned the state in debt of 70 thousand crores. Every minister of Jai Ram government has committed corruption of crores, due to which the debt burden has increased on the state. Jairam Sarkar will be known as the Chief Minister who has taken the highest debt in the state. Jairam government has made the state financially bankrupt. The government does not have money to pay salaries and pensions to the employees. Every month Jairam Sarkar takes a loan of more than 1000 crores from which salary and pension is paid. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who has pauped the state, is again seeking votes from the public. Jai Ram Thakur should give the account of the work of five years to the public but he is not giving the account of the government and is asking for votes in the name of caste and religion.
Surjit Thakur said that the governments of both Congress and BJP have drowned the state in debt. During the previous Congress government, the state had a debt of more than 47 thousand crores. Now the BJP government has drowned the state in debt of more than 70 thousand by taking a loan of more than 25 thousand crores. Jairam Sarkar’s budget states that more than 20 percent of the total budget ends up in paying loan installments and interest, leaving the government with no budget for development. For this reason, there was no development in the state during the Jai Ram government of five years.
Surjit Thakur said that Jai Ram Thakur talks of double engine development. He should tell what development the double engine government has done in the state in five years. During the last elections, Union Minister Gadkari announced the construction of 60 national highways in the state, but not a single national highway was built in Himachal in five years. Which proves that BJP’s double engine government has failed to bring development in the state.
Surjit Thakur said that the people of the state are ready for change of power. Aam Aadmi Party is in front of the public as a strong alternative. An honest government of Aam Aadmi Party will be formed in the state, which will end corruption. Honest government will have no need to take loan and development will be faster.
