BJP disown liquor pedalors nabbed in Rampur in by election
Ruling BJP today disowned the massive liquor distribution and pedalors nabbed red handed by police under Rampur police station from a village last night.
Party spokesperson issued rebuttal over allegations made by Congress party in a press statement and informed that it has an alleged move by Congress affiliated workers to malign the clean image of party to damage it in the bye election.
He said, a complains against the false and frivolous allegations and propaganda of the Indian National Congress Himachal against the BJP in connection with the alleged seizure of liquor somewhere in Rampur, was registered by the party.
The complaint said that the allegations are false and it is denied that there is any party workers are involved in the liquor distribution.
He said that vehicles was filled with alcohol by the miscreants and party symbol and flags have been intentionally and deliberately displayed on it only to gain unfair advantage in the bye election.
Party activists who was blamed for the alleged distribution claimed that he was never present in the place where vehicle were compounded with Liquor he termed it a clear conspiracy against BJP.
This clearly shows that the entire story of the Congress party is a concoction and it is just a result of defaming the BJP, especially me who is one of the party officials of Rampur.
It is worthwhile to mention that while addressing Press conference today State Congress spokesperson Naresh Chauhan accused the ruling BJP of using liquor or money power to influence the voters to vote in favour of party candidates in the bye election.
“The ruling party is misusing government machinery and liquor to influence voters in bypolls to the Mandi Lok Sabha seat and assembly segments of Arki, Fatehpur and Jubbal Kotkhai which is in violation of Model Code of Conduct,” he added.
He told that over 100 complaints had been received from party leaders in four constituencies till date and the Election Commission seemed to have become a puppet in the hands of the BJP.
“This also leads us to believe that the ruling party is aware of the dissent among the general public over price rise and unemployment which is the reason that the party is using such tactics to influence voters,” he added.
