BJP at the Center that is trying to suppress the voice of the opposition: Pratibha

State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh has accused the BJP government at the Center that it is trying to suppress the voice of the opposition in the House as part of a well-thought-out strategy. Criticizing the BJP government for suspending MPs of opposition parties including Congress and other opposition parties from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, she said that Congress will not allow democracy to be murdered. On the call of All India Congress Committee, Congress will hold protests across the country against the dictatorial policies and decisions of the BJP government at the Centre.

Pratibha Singh said in a statement issued today that the suspension of leaders of opposition parties from both houses of Parliament is very unfortunate. She said that BJP is avoiding the opposition’s questions in the Parliament and that is why as a deliberate strategy the opposition MPs have been suspended from the Parliament. She said that suspension of elected MPs in a democracy is not only murder of democracy but also an insult to them which can never be tolerated.

Pratibha Singh said that Congress will protest against the Central Government in all the districts of the state on December 22 in which all the party workers including leaders, officials of leading organizations and heads of all departments will participate. He has said that Congress will give a befitting reply to any propaganda by BJP.
