BHARAT BANDH : Traffic paralyzed in Shimla on the farmers Protest

Bharat Bandh was observed by the 44 farmers union in Himachal Pradesh under the Banner of  Himachal Pradesh Kissan Sabha & CPI(M) and Syunkat Kissan Munch Protest was held on every district and subdivision baring Lahaul Spiti district.
Protesters gathered under Kissan Sabha Secretary and president Dr Onkar Shad and Kuldeep Singh Tanwar at Victory Tunnel at 1200 and blocked the vehicular Traffic for one hours report of Protest was coming from Theog where CPI (M) Legislator Rakesh Singha blocked the vehicular Traffic and organized Protest March.
SKM convener Harish Chauhan and former  Mayor of Shimla  Sanjay Chauhan  led the protest at Kotkhai , In Jubbal Zila Parishad member of CPI(M) Vishal Sangta and in Joginder of Mandi Khushal Bhardwaj and In Hamipur Dr Kashmir Singh led the farmer Protest. 
Police caught unaware of the call of Bharat Bandh in Shimla as it paralyzed the vehicular Traffic and movement commuters in the Town. On the cart road from ISBT parking to Victory Tunnel and from Khalani to Old ISBT vehicular Traffic diverted via Bypass road for more than one hour.
Farmers especially woman came out in large numbers at Theog, Jubbal Kotkhai and Rohru to support the farmer Bharat Bandh. Apple growers who suffered massive loss due to slump in the apple prices extended their support to Bharat Bandh.
Dr Kuldeep Singh Tanwar told our reporter that Bharat Bandh was successful and they blocked the Traffic for one hour instead of 0600 to 1600 hrs as it would not to much trouble to the commuters.
Farmers demanded to withdraw the three farms law and extend benefit of Minimum Support Price to all crops on the analogy of Kerala. Farmers also demanding to provide the benefit of MIS scheme to all grades of apple on the analogy of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Tanwar said that a farmer convention would be held on Nov 19 this year to brought farmers belonged to three agro climate zones under one banner of SKM.
“This Protest is Water shed movement when fruit growers want to fight for the causes of off seasons and grain growers or Vice versa. Resentment is simmering among different forum  of farmer union to came in rescue of each other.” Dr Tanwar said

Farmers in the Kangra district especially mund region are seeking the MSP and setting up procurement Centre for paddy purchase. Offseason vegetable and grain growing farmers of Solan district, Una and Sirmaur are also seeking MSP on the wheat and off seasonal vegetables, he added.
 After state farmers would complete their demand chart would joined with SKM and 44 make farmers union on the national level, he said.
