Avoid driving on snow mounted road -Admin

District Administeration Shimla, Kinnuar, Chamba, Kullu and Mandi issued advisory to People and tourists to avoid traveling on the slippery snow mounted road as it could be fatal and not easy rescue team to response.
Shimla District Administeration said in travel Advisory issued to media that due to continuously snowfall in the upper areas of Shimla District, number of major roads are blocked.
Theog-Chopal road is snow bound near Khidki, Theog-Rohru Road at Khadapather, Theog-Rampur Roadatb Narkanda, Shimla-Theog road near Kufri-Galu-Fagu. 
Apart from this, roads of Shimla city are also blocked due to snowfall but work of clearing the roads is going on by NHAI, PWD and MC.
Shimla Police requests you not to drive on the above roads.

Lahaul-Spiti Administeration advised  general public , that due to heavy snowfall in the district ,  NH – 03 North Portal to Darcha  – Shinkula – Zanskar is closed,  SH – 26 Tandi to Kaddu Nullah and   NH – 505 Koksar to Losar are closed. Baralacha and  Shinkula Pass closed, Udaipur Pangi  is closed.

“All Gram Panchayat Pradhan, NGOs. Trekkers and Pedestrians are requested to spread this massage to maximum people so that any unpleasant incident can be avoided.” Administeration warned issuing advisory of Avalanches after very heavy snowfall in high reaches.
Administeration said that people should be very alert in your respective areas and make sure the weather and road conditions on the phone number given below before making any urgent travel .
 In event of any natural calamity or incident , inform the District Disaster Control Issued in public interest by the Deputy Commissioner Lahaul and Spiti .
Similar notification also issued by others district administration as heavy snowfall is continue in the state since last night.
