Attack on BJP leaders, panic of defeat in Congress: Rajiv Bindal
The Congress government of Himachal Pradesh is very upset and nervous and it wants to hijack this election by any means. While addressing the press conference, Bharatiya Janata Party State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the incident that happened today in Kaza of Lahaul-Spiti assembly constituency is not only condemnable but also a well-planned conspiracy of the Congress Party. Former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur reaches Kaza with two election candidates Kangana Ranaut and Ravi Thakur, despite giving prior written information to the SDM and DC, Congress people were allowed to hold the meeting there itself. On the opposite side of the place which was given for the Bharatiya Janata Party, along with the Congress Party, permission was given for the place where the Leader of the Opposition was going to hold a public meeting and the result was the same. As per Congress’s well thought out strategy, as soon as the public meeting ended, Congress people moved towards the public meeting and carrying black flags sat on the same road through which Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, Kangana Ranaut and Ravi Thakur were to go. While giving permission, the administration and the government did not try to know which Congress leaders were coming there? He said that no Congress leader came there and only as part of a planned conspiracy, the vehicles of Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, Kangana Ranaut and Ravi Thakur were attacked. Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha worker Rohan Kapoor was badly beaten. But all the workers of Bharatiya Janata Party surrounded Jairam Thakur, Kangana Ranaut, Ravi Thakur and Uttarakhand Minister from all sides and saved them from those unruly people.
He said that if the Congress government had been in control, they would have killed our leaders right there. This type of behavior with the former Chief Minister is happening during the elections, due to which it is natural to question the role of the Election Commission. Accusing the Commission, he said that the Election Commission is giving protection to the government, free and fair elections are not visible in any form in Himachal Pradesh. He said that Bharatiya Janata Party has reported this and filed FIR there, but BJP does not expect any kind of action. Ravi Thakur is the candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress and the Chief Minister of Congress are sad that Ravi Thakur has left Congress and joined BJP. When Ravi Thakur was in Congress party, the house where he was built was absolutely fine, but when he joined BJP, that house got spoiled. Their boundary wall was first broken by using bulldozers and yesterday, to spoil the atmosphere there, voters were intimidated. Yesterday again bulldozers were used all day on his property.
He said that the people of Congress party are thinking that they will become bulldozer wale baba, but the bulldozer wale baba runs his bulldozer on the goons. Himachal Chief Minister cannot remain in power by running bulldozers on elected representatives. Intimidation of voters gives a clear message that the legs of anyone who votes for Bharatiya Janata Party or asks for votes will be broken. This type of hooliganism is going on in Himachal under this government. In all the elections held in Himachal Pradesh before today, this type of incident has never happened in Himachal Pradesh.
The State President said that recently when Ravi Thakur was in Shimla, his press conference was being held in the residence of Ridge, then NSUI boys jumped from all sides and entered the press conference and tried to kill Ravi Thakur by surrounding him. They would have killed Ravi Thakur that day if our state media in-charge had not intervened and saved him. NSUI boys also had a scuffle with Karan Nanda. On that day, when this sentence was uttered on the ridge grounds, the Chief Minister was on the ridge itself, two minutes before that. Till date the Chief Minister has neither been able to explain nor condemn this matter. He said that today Ravi Thakur was in Kaza as a candidate and it is the responsibility of the government to protect him. He said that the attack by the goons of the state government is going to be very costly for the Congress. Accusing the Congress government, he said that challans are being issued for the vehicles and shops of the elected representatives. He asked the government whether the people of BJP do not have the right to live? He said that this government is misusing power and this will prove to be the last nail in the coffin of this government, for which the people of the state will answer to Congress by exercising their voting right on coming June 1.
