Army rescued tourist in disaster,205 people stranded in a camp
205 Tourists who were stranded on the way from Pooh to Kaza in Lahaul Spiti district of Himachal rescued from their camp after heavy snowfall and rain by Indian Army Jawan stationed Sumdo today
Deputy commissioner Lahaul Spiti district Mr Neeraj Kumar said that these people were stranded on the Pooh to Kaza road late in the evening.
After the sudden snowfall Army jawans allowed the trapped people stay in their barak as people were accommodated in different camps.
Jawan also offered food and medical camp facilities to stranded People.
As rescued people were returned home they extended gratitude to the Indian Army Jawan
Col Nitin Mittal Dogra Scout said that we had a total of 205 people who were accommodated overnight.
The entire arrangement for their food, drink and living was done by the company.
We restrainted people not to go ahead until the road was opened.
Many of the people who stayed in Army camp facilitied to talk with family members via wireless.
