APG Shimla University awarded as Outstanding University in Learning Initiative and Skill Development

The APG Shimla University of the capital Shimla has won the Education Leader Award-2023,
achieving another achievement in the field of vocational, technical higher education, and qualitative
education. The University has been using software like Editch for Outcome Education to provide
quality education and during the covid pandemic and lockdown where this software proved helpful
for regular studies of the students and to facilitate education and teaching work. This award has
been given to APG Shimla University for the work done by the students and faculty members in the
field of higher education. Engineer Vikrant Suman received this award on behalf of APG Shimla
University at the Education Leaders Conclave and Awards program organized by the prestigious
Observe Now Media Group in Chandigarh last week on Saturday.
The award was presented by Anup Gupta, Mayor Chandigarh who presided over as a special guest in
the Conclave. On this occasion, Chancellor Engineer Suman Vikrant said that APG Shimla University
getting this award is a matter of pride for all the professors, students, university management, and
administration of the university. He said that this is a reflection of the commitment to the students
and researchers for providing skill-based education in the field of higher education. Chancellor
Suman Vikrant has given the credit for this achievement to all the professors, department heads,
deans, teachers, and students of the University.
This time APG Shimla University from Himachal Pradesh is the first higher education institution to
receive this award. About a hundred educational institutions from several states of India were
selected for various categories for the Education Leader Award-2023 by the country’s prestigious
Education conclave, in which APG Shimla University was given this award under the higher education
category. On receiving this award, Deans, Heads of Departments, Professors, Registrar, and students
of various departments and faculties of APG University congratulated Chancellor Engineer Suman
Vikrant.
