Anushka Dutta becomes first Himachali Finalist for Miss Universe India 2024
Anushka Dutta, a 22-year-old from Rohru, Himachal Pradesh, has made history as the first contestant from her state to reach the national finals of Miss Universe India 2024.
Currently pursuing a B.Ed at Himachal Pradesh University in Shimla, Anushka stands out not only for her academic achievements but also for her ambition and determination to bring pride to her state on a national stage. Her journey to the finals marks a significant milestone for both her and Himachal Pradesh, a region with limited representation in such prestigious platforms.
The Miss Universe India competition is renowned for its tough selection process, where contestants are evaluated on more than just physical beauty. Communication skills, confidence, and advocacy for global issues are equally critical.
Anushka embodies these qualities, especially the idea of being “beautifully confident.” She believes in embracing her individuality and using her self-assurance to inspire others with grace and poise.
The national pageant will conclude in September, and if she succeeds, Anushka will have the chance to represent India at the global Miss Universe competition later this year.
This achievement is a moment of pride for Himachal Pradesh, and her journey is inspiring countless young women from the region to aim higher and dream bigger.
