A meeting was held today in the State Congress Headquarters Rajiv Bhawan under the chairmanship of State Congress President and former MP Pratibha Singh with the election observers of all 12 districts of the state appointed by the All India Congress Committee. Besides All India Congress Committee Secretary and co-incharge of state affairs Chetan Chauhan, Vidit Chaudhary, party observers of the four parliamentary constituencies – Shantanu Chauhan of Kangra Parliamentary Constituency, Gurpreet Gandhi of Hamirpur, Omveer Yadav of Shimla and Gaurav Bhatia of Mandi Parliamentary Constituency were present in the meeting. State Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh was also specially present in this meeting.
Pratibha Singh asked all the district supervisors to meet all the senior leaders and workers of the party. She said that the sentiments of the hardworking leaders and workers of the party should be fully respected.
Pratibha Singh, while discussing in detail about the formation of district and block Congress committees in the meeting, said that along with senior party leaders, full attention will be given to hardworking youth, workers of leading organizations and women in the organization, hence the views of all these people should be heard.
All India Congress Committee Secretary and Co-Incharge of State Affairs Chetan Chauhan asked all the district observers to fulfill their responsibilities properly and submit a full report soon. He said that the observers have been given an important responsibility of the State Congress, which they have to fulfill with full devotion.
Supervisors from all 12 districts, Rajiv Verma from Shimla, Charanjeet Singh Nikku from Sirmaur, Praveen Chaudhary from Solan, Muzaffar Gurjar from Mandi, Purushottam Nagar from Kullu, Yogesh Rana from Kinnaur, Manoj Kaushik from Lahaul Spiti, Manoj Lubana from Kangra, Akhilesh from Chamba, Rudra Pratap from Una, Deepak Luwana from Bilaspur and Prabhakar Jha, appointed for Hamirpur were present in the meeting.
